What would make your life, and job as parent, easier?
A nanny, cook, maid, butler, vacation home... but none of that compares to socializing, helping and working with other moms, which is what I hope to find and help create here!

Dear Jackie, Will your son ever talk? I wish I could say "Of course he will" but I do not think anyone can give you that answer yet. Why do they want him to learn sign language? Well... unfortunately there are many professionals who have a "one fi…

I couldnt find that discussion, but as for my take. Having a son in spectrum of autism has given me a heightened awareness of mine and my sons surroundings. As a Dad, I try to keep in perspective the bad days and give him the guidance he needs, my son is a true treasure as is my oldest but I feel the rewards of his successes gives me a reason to smile and be proud of his accomplishments.

Thank you yea that's why I decided on this major in the first place. I figured if for no other reason I could learn to better understand my OWN child and what can help him the best. Plus I can better understand how to help the parents because Im in their shoes
My schedule is crazy, Im on campus most days till noon and then I have to go round up my daughter at the inlaws and get home because my son comes home around 230-245. I'll be finishing my semester in a couple weeks here and I dont take classes over the summer unless they are online. I need that BREAK!
I think the event idea is a really great one. We mom's need that extra support!

Thank you Amber for the welcome---
My son is 22 so I have a little "perspective" under my belt and have started a public journal about living with Autism. I will update my profile this weekend and look forward to a new community!

Hi Amber, Sure will do.. I just added the Nesting Sac which is a sac for sensory children to climb in to as well as sleep inside. My son loves his nesting sac and spends a lot of time in it during the day and at night. He has been sleeping through the night now since I invented the Nesting Sac.
